Appearance: Dato is a fairly tall and well built individual for being of just 17 years of age. Being a member of Konohagakure he tends to wear different shades of green to help him blend in with his home environment. When not on a mission Dato doesn't wear his vest and tends to wear looser more robelike attire to allow comfort and ease of movement when training or just enjoying his day. Even when not on missions however Dato always carries his scroll on his lower back for his Fuuinjutsu techniques as well as to store handy supplies like food and water when out in the field for longer periods of time. His eyes are a light viridian like spring leaves just beginning to grow to maturity. His hair is black and hangs halfway down Dato's back tied into a neat tail so it doesn't go all over supported up by his Konoha headband. Dato's skin is on the paler side of the spectrum despite Konoha getting a lot of sun most days and him spending a great deal of time outside but he gets that from his family. Although most days it isn't easy to see if one were to catch Dato in the bath house they would see his back has a large tattoo depicting a snake wrapping around a large tree. He got this tattoo to represent his family's willingness to serve and protect Konoha and for Konoha to in return shade their family from attack.

Personality:  When in comes to general personality Dato tends to be a surprise to most. By his appearance most would assume he is a kind and caring individual only. But this is not the case, although most situations Dato can fill that roll there have been times when a darker colder Dato had to emerge. But this is not a heartless creature he is still a person who values life so he won't go causing wanton slaughter and chaos but if the order is given to kill and the target isn't innocent Dato will do his duty and perform what is asked. When making friends with Dato one would be advised to give him his space when he needs it often times he likes to go off alone and think about things or clear his head when he is stressed. Younger ninjas and children will find it safe by Dato as he would never let someone under his wing be harmed if he could help it. Dato likes to train, eat ramen on rooftops, study scrolls, and earn his keep in Konohagakure. There are few things that he doesn't like but the few he does is with a heightened passion which are bullies, disrespectful or entitled shinobi, and innocent people being hurt.

In bis life Dato has always felt the desire to get stronger which is usually why he is always training. He hopes one day to begin to master techniques few others before or after him will be able to and rise in the ranks of shinobi to become one of the strongest if not the Hokage himself. But that dream is far off for someone so young who hasn't yet found his place in the shinobi world. But Dato's time will come and every moment he get's closer to it only drives him to work harder to achieve such goals.

Character History: Dato was born in Konohagakure on a cool autumn day. His parents were both respected shinobi of the village not incredibly high in the ranks but certainly well established enough to live in a nice food and put food on the table. Dato had a relatively normal childhood enjoying playing by himself at home or with other kids at the park. Dato had shown at a very young age to have a strong interest in fuuinjutsu just like his mother. She would sit him on her lap at night and read her fuuinjutsu scrolls to him like bedtime stories. Once he came of age Dato was entered in the leaf academy where he began his studies to become a shinobi like his parents. Over time and pushing himself Dato's grades flourished and he was able to become a genin his parent's could be proud of.

Being a Genin however was a lot harder on Dato than he originally thought it would. The academy jutsus that he was taught were little help and his lack of a chakra nature affinity made him have even more of a hampering. On top of that Dato started being assigned missions at first it was things like retrieving lost pets and inter-village escort missions but pretty soon he was outside the village doing small tasks that were harder for him. But Dato did not let this discourage him. Instead of training elemental jutsus like other Genin Dato focussed all his training time into non-elemental techniques that when used properly could be just as affective as well as he started learning the finer points of Fuuinjutsu under the tutelage of his mother. After earning enough keep to move into his own place Dato was able to proceed through Genin and attain the rank of Chuunin. Feeling more confident but still not at his full potential Dato began devoting all his free time to training and study in order to become even stronger of a shinobi maybe even surpassing his own parents. All Dato wanted was to be recognized by them and the village for even though he didn't have a special clan or elemental affinity he would still become a very strong shinobi and aspire to greatness. Even though this was one of his goals Dato had another one that he strived for that he kept a secret from even his parents. During his academy days they went over a subject called forbidden techniques. These powerful jutsus were frowned upon to use and often meant that a shinobi would be hunted for using such abilities but nevertheless Dato was intrigued by these techniques and had a desire he couldn't shake to obtain not just one but a few of these forbidden techniques and have them under his belt to use should he ever need to.
